Prior to founding Activist Technologies, Alex worked for a decade in the political data and technology field. He served as Director of Business Development at The TARA Group and before that worked at REAL Strategies, TargetSmart, and Project Vote in a wide variety of roles. He holds a B.S. in Business & Political Economy with a minor in Social Entrepreneurship from NYU’s Stern School of Business. Alex, a native Washingtonian, spent his formative years living in Costa Rica, and is an avid surfer, music lover, and diehard Nationals and Commanders fan. He lives in Silver Spring, MD with his wife and their dog.

Drew is a Co-Founder and Partner of The TARA Group, a holding company with numerous subsidiaries that have provided innovative solutions in the political data and technology field for over two decades. He partnered with Activist to provide advanced, direct-to-consumer political tools to ordinary people in order to revolutionize the civic engagement process. Prior to founding The TARA Group and partnering with Activist, he co-owned Waypoint Data Solutions and worked at Acxiom where he specialized in consumer data and its applications. Drew received a B.A. in Economics from Hendrix College.

Jeff is a Co-Founder and Partner of The TARA Group and has worked with Drew since founding their first company, TargetSmart, together back in 2005. Before founding the TARA Group and partnering with Activist, Jeff co-owned American Strategies and held numerous positions at the Democratic National Committee, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, and the office of Senator Bill Bradley (D-NJ). He was instrumental in inspiring Alex to create Activist and providing guidance to get it off the ground. Jeff holds a B.S. in Economics from Michigan State University.

Tom is the CEO of The TARA Group where he oversees and facilitates the continued growth and success of its subsidiaries. Prior to leading The TARA Group and joining Activist's Board of Directors, he was the CEO of TargetSmart, the Co-Founder and Partner at Clarity Campaign Labs, and the COO of the National Committee for an Effective Congress. Tom holds a B.A. from American University and serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at Howard University.
